Keep more of your dispensing margin

We find where your dispensary loses money on its medicines, and where an equivalent product would earn it more.

Margin audit. Compare what you paid with what the NHS reimbursed, per dose, after the discount band and your rebates.

Warning: may show which lines are costing your dispensary money.

Each line you dispense earns or loses money

Discount deductions, rebates, pack sizes and price changes all shift what each line earns you. Your monthly statement shows the total, not which products cost you money. We work that out from your own records, and every report covers both sides of your margin.

Sample rows from the report’s leakage table, with made-up counts and the money blurred. In your report each row shows what you paid, what you were reimbursed, and the leakage for the period, ranked largest first.

Your prescribers stay in control

  • Your prescribers decide. We list what to check before any patient is switched.
  • Only within drug classes a pharmacist has signed off. Never insulins, biologics, immunosuppressants or Category 1 antiepileptics.
  • Never where the NHS would pay more.

How it works

  1. You send your records

A dispensing-system extract with no patient details, plus your wholesaler invoices and rebate statements.

  2. We reconcile every line

We match each item to what you bought and to its Drug Tariff price. We compare per tablet or dose, and apply the discount band you reached each month.

  3. Your partners get a written report

Plain findings, what to check for each line, and every estimate labelled as one.

  4. If you want it, monthly support

A pharmacist audits each new month and goes through what changed with your dispensary team: what to raise with your wholesaler, and which switches to put to your prescribers.

Fees, by practice size
Items your dispensary dispenses a yearFirst auditMonthly service
Under 75,000£1,000£195 a month
75,000 to 150,000£1,500£350 a month
Over 150,000£2,000£550 a month

The first audit stands alone. Decide on the monthly service once you have read your report.

Fixed fees, agreed before we start. If we wrote to you, the insert with our letter shows how many items your dispensary dispenses a year.

We agree a date for your first report on the first call.

Who we are

Jordan Fulcher

Rightmed was founded by Jordan Fulcher, a registered pharmacist who spent several years in primary care.

Every prescribing tool I used told GPs what not to prescribe. None told the dispensary where it was losing money.

What would your own figures show?

A short call, no obligation. We’ll tell you plainly whether an audit is worth doing for your practice.
